I don't even know how to put into words the magnitude of what this song means to me and so much of the world. As a midwestern baby, you and your music have meant so much to me. The authenticity of projects to follow helped me and many others realize we are not alone in what we see and feel throughout a reality that actively tries to relinquish those rights of human nature. I don't know if I ever produce, I don't know if I realize I'm allowed to rap, and allowed to sing, and allowed to endlessly discover, show love, and express my interest in other genres creatively if it wasn't for you. You've influenced a multitude of others who have pushed and inspired me even further, while also giving me history lessons and introducing me to those who came before you. Thank you for helping me realize there are no limits to not only what I can be, but who I already am.
Sincerely,
A fellow midwestern cowboy

Shawty, you got me through it, you got me through it. From inspiring my cover art to Peach Boy Roy to your whole discography, I shamelessly call you a muse. "Blue Water Road" came at the perfect time as I discovered my haven at the beach amidst my sometimes seemingly endless DoorDash shifts. You gave me a lot of karaoke vocal practice in my car, and I finally landed on this song from "While We Wait," and this phrase fits this journey all too well. I could never speak enough about your vulnerability and resiliency to still enjoy this crazy world. Thank you for your service as I continue to root for you from afar.

A couple of years ago (from today being 2025) discovered this cute little song. I believe this was a kick-start to my covers before I started reproducing the instrumentation as well. So perhaps I owe you some credit on this journey as well. With my soft yet masculine voice, I've been self-conscious about this aspect, but today I love it. Recently, I was made aware that we share something in common, which is why these things may take a while to come to fruition. Thank you for being vulnerable enough to be an artist and remind me that this is supposed to be fun.

Thank you for giving me a huge jolt in my back while driving on the roads of Columbus. I remember going into the grocery store and hearing it on the speakers after I had it on loop while doordashing. I was like, "Oh yeah, this is supposed to happen."

You’ve been with me in my 20 somethings. I don’t even want to think about where I would be mentally, or musically, without tuning into your artistry. The song “Colors” doesn’t sound like it does without you. Driving around Central Ohio, you were the soundtrack to my life on many occasions. And in trying to mimic you as a distant apprentice, I ended up finding myself a few times over. Thom Yorke, you taught me the value of creating in the learning stages while not even knowing what I was doing. You also aided in my focusing on the emotions with my vocals versus technical ability and making myself sound more human. I love that even this far into your career, you continue to challenge yourself, push boundaries, and strive to create new art. Various songs have touched me, whether it be lyrics, production, or vocals. I’m glad I didn’t just stick to the early albums and studied your full discography. Stumbling across this song toward the end of “A Moon Shaped Pool” felt so ethereal, and yet so close with the ambient piano notes and sparse vocals that hit with each line. Obsessing over a small part toward the backend of this track, the beat has been on my laptop for nearly two years (just looked and I can't believe it). I enjoyed just sitting back and feeling this song so much that I don’t even remember karaokeing it. From Ye, to Lupe, to Frank Ocean, you’ve inspired various black men in this art form and have had such a great contribution to music and the lives of many.
Thank you, Radiohead
